I was over in Scotland recently for a week, which was wonderfully relaxing. Scotland lived up to its reputation when it comes to the weather for most part, so sunny skies were the exception (we got lucky on two days though).
That said, grey days don’t mean leaving the camera at home (never!)

It’s time for another assignment from Scott - Your Photography Passion
I didn’t need long to think about something for this assignment – it’s got to be the birds for me!
Almost four years ago, I started volunteering at a bird of prey centre nearby. I’ve learned so much about these amazing creatures, how to handle them, got to know their funky personalities, and I’ve made some amazing friends along the way.
Shooting the birds almost from the get-go was one heck of a learning curve, but one that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed. I’ve come a long way, and I’ve still got some ways to go of course. Shooting falcons, owls and eagles in full flight certainly is a challenge, and I can’t tell you how many blurry shots of Bud or Milly I have (many…) – but when you do get it right, there’s nothing quite like it.

Castle Stalker, Scotland
Fetchez la vache! … la vache? … la vache!! MOOO!
Yep, this is where that scene from Monty Python’s Holy Grail was filmed! I never knew that.
Beautiful spot, and I’m saying that despite the fact that on both times I was there, the weather was very … Scottish. As you can see above :)
Now go, or I shall taunt you a zecond time!

The railway viaduct in Glenfinnan, Scotland -
Does it look familiar? Yep, it’s the bridge that the Hogwarts Express in the Harry Potter movies crosses.
