Every once in a while, I take out my old Voigtländer medium format camera and chase a roll of b/w film through it, which I then develop myself. Granted, I don’t do this as often as I would like, but what can you do. Life has other ideas these days :)
These were shot about six months back or so, and I absolutely love how they turned out. These shots look like they came from a forgotten era. Which, in a way, they do – old 1940s camera, medium format film, developed by hand… a world apart from today’s digital click-click-click ‘shoot as much as you want’ approach.

As 2013 is drawing to a close, let’s take a quick look back, shall we?
It’s been an exciting year for me and my family :)
We did some travelling…
Beach on the Dingle peninsula, County Kerry, Ireland
I did some experiments with developing film, and shooting with old film cameras …
Of course there were visits to the birds…
And other photographic ventures, capturing the beauty of every day around us…
And then, a little girl who turned our world upside down, in the very best of ways.
I hope your year was good, and exciting – here’s looking forward to 2014, and whatever it may bring! Happy New Year!
