flowerthought II

I got a beautiful bunch of lilies from a friend that came over for dinner, and was, naturally, delighted with them. I love photographing flowers, and lilies are a beautiful subject.

I took this shot (and the others in the “flowerthought” series) with my Nikon D300 and the Sigma 105 mm macro lens.

RAW-conversion in PS2.

I love the shallow DoF that this shot has, because it reduces the flower to its very essence.

I got this printed at http://www.360-dpi.com as an A3 print, and have it now framed and hanging on a blue wall in my house. This picture is what makes the room.
