Two old ladies

… have found their way into my hands – they used to belong to my granddad, and have been sitting in various basements for at least the last 30 years.
Now, my dad gave them to me – what a treasure!

Voigtländer Bergheil (?)

a Voigtländer ‘pocket camera’ –

Also included in this box of treasures were Zeiss colour filters, and four boxes of glass plates – un-opened. There is a hand-written date on two of the boxes: Summer 1944….

The big Voigtländer also came with a film back, and it looks like it’s 120 film – so I shall go forth and see if I can still take photographs with this lady from the 1930s! (The little one doesn’t take 120 film, unfortunately, but something that’s most likely not available anymore… Pity, but she still looks gorgeous!)

  1. Cool!!!!! I have a link somewhere that sells old negative formats. I shall try and dig it up and send it to you.

  2. That’s wonderful they’ve found their way to you, where a loving home is assured. I’m always fascinated by old cameras and will stand admiring them through shop windows.

  3. Fantastic! What a treasure.
